Little Masters Challenge
2008
The fourth Little Master’s Challenge was organized on November 18, 2008 at the Brabourne Stadium. The twelve teams marching to the tunes of a school scout band was a proud moment for Salaam Bombay Foundation. The 6000 strong cheering mass of young children, who were part of the audience made the experience more exciting and full of life.
Two final matches of 10 overs each were played on the final day between the under 17 and core team. The event was graced by Mrs Nirupama Mankad wife of late Mr Ashok Mankad, Mr. Mir Ranjan Negi, former hockey coach, Mr Aadesh Shrivastava, music director, along with the finalists of the popular TV show Sa Re Ga Ma.. Also gracing the occasion were Mr Kamlesh Mehta, former Indian tennis player, Dr. Pasricha ex Director General of Police, Mumbai and the hockey stars from the popular movie Chak De India.

2007
The Little Master’s Challenge 2007, was organized on December 11, at Brabourne stadium. The final cricket match was flagged off by the cine star Ms. Juhi Chawla , Mr. Mir Ranjan Negi, ex hockey coach of the film Chak De India fame and Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr.Vijaysingh Jadhav. The event reached out to over 5000 children from 40 municipal schools across Mumbai.
The children got huge support from the special guests and media personalities.
Eight winners got an opportunity to fly down and watch the ICL 20-20 tournament in smoke free city of Chandigarh –which was sponsored by Zee sports and ICL. The prizes were distributed by Mr. Milind Rege, Maharastra Cricket Academy Selector, Ms Deepa Kulkarni Maratha International Cricket Player and Prof. Nandini Sardesai, academician.

2006
Salaam Bombay Foundation joined hands with Kansai Nerolac Paints for the Little Masters Challenge 2006. The triangular series was held at Purandare Grounds and watched by more than 3000 children from 14 schools across Mumbai.
Cricketer Vinod Kambli, actor Pooja Bedi and the Asma Band were present to motivate the children and to give away prizes to the winners.

2005
Salaam Bombay Foundation and Goodlass Nerolac Paints Limited (GNPL), joined hands to organize the biggest ever Children's day event in Mumbai. Thousands of under privileged children were witness to the unique Cricket Tournament organized exclusively for them on this Children's Day. The triangular series called the “Little Master Challenge 2005” was the first of its kind event, where children from Municiapl schools had the opportunity to play their favorite game. The match was played on November 14th at Brabourne Stadium.
An added bonus for these children was getting the opportunity to interact with their favorite cricket star Kapil Dev, while training for this tournament. They were also given an insight into the finer aspects of the game by renowned coach Mr. Ashok Mankad. The entire event was organized under the guidance of Mr Raj Singh Dungarpur, President of Cricket Club of India under the aegis of the Cricket Club of India. Actor Shreyas Talpade who had played the role of a deaf and mute cricketer in the popular film ‘Iqbal' was present to cheer the players.
