NANDINA RAMCHANDRAN

CEO

Nandina is a seasoned professional with 31 years of extensive corporate experience across established MNCs and start-ups. In her role as Asia Pacific Business Head and Country Head, India of various MNCs, she has executed the India entry strategy and established commercial start-up operations, led product launches and multi-country projects across the world. Nandina's cross-over to the development sector was marked by the establishment and operations of the CSR vertical within a large integrated group of companies.

She brings to Salaam Bombay a unique combination of corporate strategy and an understanding of the social development landscape.

Asha Monterio

General Manager - Finance

Asha is a consummate finance professional with more than 20 years of experience in the development sector. She joined Salaam Bombay Foundation in 2008 and has since been a valuable member of the team, handling all financial aspects of the organisation. Asha's role includes financial accounting, budgeting, donor reporting, treasury management, and statutory reporting. She has played a key role in implementing financial strategies and streamlining accounting processes, ensuring compliance with Income Tax, Companies Act, and FCRA regulations. Salaam Bombay Foundation has won the GuideStar India Transparency Key Award four times under her leadership.

GAURAV ARORA

Chief Growth Officer and SVP Skills & Sports

Gaurav has been associated with the skill development ecosystem since the inception of the national mission in 2009. He brings 18+ years of experience in the corporate and development sectors to his role at Salaam Bombay Foundation. While being associated with Salaam Bombay for more than 7 years now, Gaurav is also visiting faculty at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, teaching Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability courses.

Gaurav holds an MBA in Social Entrepreneurship from NMIMS, Mumbai and B.Tech in Electronics from National Institute of Technology, Allahabad.

Dr. Manasi Bawdekar

Vice President - Research and M&E

Dr. Manasi has over 19 years of rich experience in the field of Statistics, Demography and Research. Her area of expertise includes Quantitative and Qualitative Research and Monitoring and Evaluation.

Dr. Manasi is a doctorate in Population Studies from the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai with Masters in Statistics from the University of Pune followed by Masters in Population Studies from IIPS, Mumbai. She has to her credit presentations and publications in both national and international conferences and journals.

RAJASHREE KADAM

Chief Sustainability Officer and SVP Arts & Media

Rajashree brings with her 2 decades of experience in the development sector, specifically health. With the Foundation for more than 13 years, she has overseen and is responsible for the growth of the Arts and Media Academy, tobacco control-health and hygiene programme in Rural India. She has spearheaded Salaam Mumbai Foundation’s foray into other Indian states.

Rajashree holds a Masters in Social Sciences from Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work.

SMRUTI KASULWAR

Chief Culture & Synergy Officer and SVP HR

Smruti has 12 years of diverse human resources and management experience that spans start-ups and established organizations in both corporate and development sector. Smruti is a result-oriented professional, she has extensive hands-on experience leading HR initiatives including policy design, performance management, recruiting, compliance reporting, training and development. Smruti has spent more than 5 years in Salaam Bombay.

Smruti holds an MBA from The Institute of Technology and Management.

Tshering D. Bhutia

Chief Innovation Officer and SVP Preventive Health

With more than 12 years experience in design and execution of social development projects, Tshering has 2 publications to her credit. With Salaam Bombay for 6 years, her focus is on creating a tobacco-free environment across government secondary schools, the community and stakeholders. She is on the Internal Review Board of Healis–Sekhsaria Institute for Public Health.

Tshering holds a Masters in Broadcast Journalism and a certificate on Global Tobacco Control from John Hopkins, USA.
